After years in the shadow of neighbouring Provence and the Côte d'Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon has finally come into its own. It's unspoilt landscapes and miles of Mediterranean beaches have become incredibly popular with tourisits, as well as savvy buyers looking for property investments in the south of France.

Subsequently, property prices and tourism volumes have risen faster here than any other region of France. Property grew by over 7% in 2007, compared to around 3.3% for France as a whole. And a record 15 million visitors poured into the region last year - with increasing numbers of tourists from outside France and Europe.
